MATHSPARK
MathSpark, developed by HOSO under a grant from the National Science Foundation, provides the components of the ASAP-HOSO programs in an early childhood mathematical readiness program. Young children, those who teach them in classes, and parents can gain from these experiences. These are structured as eight, one-hour sessions (8 hours of programming).

The general goals are to provide:

For children entering kindergarten or first grade
Helps children to:

• Form shapes

 

For children entering kindergarten or first grade
Helps children to:

• Practice naming numbers
• Understand numbers as

• Understand numbers as quantity
• Group numbers of objects
• Practice comparison in numbers

 

For children entering kindergarten or first grade
Helps children to:

• Understand the concept of ...prediction
• Practice considering reasonable ...risks
• Increase experiences in

Recognize that people all over
